Phuket has been one of the best beach destinations in Thailand for over 40 years and has a lot to offer to everyone of any age, any gender, and any taste. I personally have my own favourites for any occasion.
Islands can boast of such an abundance of sandy beaches phuket and clear waters as Phuket. The winding coastal roads along the west coast of this 540-square-km island offer stunning views and easy access to some of the world's finest beaches.Whether one wants to sample the frenetic pace of Patong or find solitude on a remote stretch of sand in the north, Phuket's beaches for tourist attraction have it all for the sun seeker. The monsoon rains of May-October can bring unpredictable swimming conditions, so heed the posted flag warnings.
Patong Beach
Patong Beach, known for being somewhat of a tourist trap, is an excellent choice of beach in phuke for visitors who seek lots of activity. Located in the southwest and shaped like a crescent, Patong’s golden sands and gentle slope make for an excellent bathing beach in Phuke; after a swim, guests can relax on one of the multitude of sun loungers here that rent for about 100 Baht each. Activities abound on Patong Beach; from banana boats to jet skis to parasailing.
Surin Beach
Surin Beach is popular for a good reason, with plenty of dining venues along a large beach phuket blessed with a beautiful sand and an amazing clear blue water. Maybe it is already a bit too popular, with four of even five rows of beach chairs in some parts. But the quality of the water and sand still makes it one of the nicest beaches on the island.
Naiharn Beach
Naiharn Beach remains underdeveloped due to the presence of the temple Wat Naiharn right by the beach phuket. Although Naiharn can get quite crowded, the lack of development actually on the beautiful beach means that it feels quieter. A few restaurants sit behind the expanse of beautiful white sand and at either end of the beach are rocks around which one can snorkel.
Laem Singh Beach
Laem Singh Beach Weather is lousy but you really want to go to the beach today Laem Singh happens to look better in that exact weather. Laem Singh has this tropical touch that goes well with a bit of rain. It's like been in the Caribbean, a bit nostalgic, very green with its palm trees leaning over the sand and you have the beach almost for yourself.
Bangtao Beach
Bangtao is a study in contrasts, with the luxurious resorts and villas along its six km (four mile) stretch of beach just a few minutes' away from the town of Cherng Talay, where many villagers still make their living as their ancestors did - by fishing, farming and rubber tapping. The northern tip of the beach, so far untouched by development, is still an area where visitors might find that they have the beach to themselves.
